I have enjoyed the pleasures (and endured the pains) of reviewing many adult sites over the years. If you have been following the online adult entertainment industry (even from a distance), you may have noticed that there is an overwhelming amount of private content across a wide range of themes and niches available to subscribers today. So it never ceases to amaze me when a maker of a new porn site decides to provide you with a brief single page preview of mostly generic poor quality screenshots and a few clips to win your money. What are they thinking??
In the case of 12x Blowjobs, it seems that the saying "three strikes and you're out" applies, as this is the third of their '12x' series sites that I am reviewing with regrettably similar experiences. There is a very good reason for the similarity in my evaluation of this site - it's virtually EXACTLY the same as all the other sites by them I have reviewed!
As I do have an obligation (and sincere desire) to provide you with accurate feedback to help you choose whether or not to lay some plastic on this site, I'll do my best without repeating my last two reviews (even though the makers of this site don't seem to have any trouble repeating themselves).
Imagine a producer of adult sites securing the rights to a mother lode of mostly older adult movies. Now picture the producer working up a frenzy of digitizing the movies and chopping them up into scenes and screenshots. So the pile of films is now a small mountain of digital move clips and screen captures. By starting out with a healthy diverse selection of videos and cutting them up, it is feasible to crank out quite a few different indexes for the content according to the niches which the specific scenes address (lets say: lesbian, teen, oral sex, etc.).
Now imagine the producer getting the goofy idea of pretending to offer a bunch of 'different' sites by merely adding a unique background title graphic plus a home page which simply lists the index according to the niche being 'sold'. Throw in some bonus feeds to round out the offerings and presto - you have the '12x' series (at least as far as I have seen 12x Lesbians, 12x Eighteen, and 12x Blowjobs).
While there is absolutely nothing wrong with recycling and repackaging a rich chunk of content, it does speak to where the producer is coming from - this approach is very different from site makers who produce their own ORIGINAL content. 12x Blowjobs, like the other 12x sites I have reviewed so far, is more of a portal to exactly the same content pool. The videos are available to download or stream (WMV) in dialup or broadband quality formats. Screenshots are provided for each scene and each movie can be downloaded as a whole or viewed scene by scene. Aside from the 'bonus feeds' (which are quite good with 800x533 photos), there are NO photo galleries (other than crappy screenshots of the same movies).
The design of the site is very cluttered and most pages include far too much information unrelated to the topic the pages are about. 3 column designs are great for online magazines, but totally unnecessary for members' areas. Once you do get the hang of how the site is 'structured' you will be able to find what you are looking for more quickly. There is a search feature which does let you fast track to specific topics.
All in all, while you do get ample blowjob hardcore videos, the site lacks a sense of fresh and original content. If you're new to adult porn, you'll have tons of stuff to explore and enjoy - well worth the $29.95 ticket price for one month. If you are a bit more experienced with online porn, you may find this collection a bit too unoriginal and stale to risk your hard earned dollars on.
