If you're 148 years old like me (give or take a hundred years), you may recall that porn of the 20th century was very different from how it is today. So if you have a hankering for erotic visuals from the past, it may be time to check out Good Old XXX!
As the title suggests, this website is devoted to presenting a collection of vintage and retro porn. But, more specifically, the collection of pictures and movies spans the eighties thru to 1910! This is certainly a far reaching collection time wise, but I will warn you now that some of the pictures and videos are very poor in quality. This, to some degree, is understandable considering the vintage, but having reviewed other retro porn sites, I must add that I have seen better quality stills and movies clips from the same periods.
When I first checked out the members' galleries I was very disappointed and ready to write the site off because of the poor quality of content. I could not imagine why some of the stills were even included as they were not worth opening up. So I dug deeper, and checked more galleries, only to find even more fuzzy content. Eventually, I did discover hot some pockets of ok and even better than ok quality photos and video/movie clips. So rather than summarizing the overall quality as dismal, it is more accurate to report that some (a lot) of photos and clips are really really bad, while there is also an ample amount of content which is better in quality (more appropriate for its age). In any case, don't expect to find and super hi res photos or HD quality movies - that's just asking for too much.
From the eighties, some of the hotties and studs featured include Linda Lovelace, John Holmes, Seka, and Vanessa Del Rio (my fave!!). This was a time when more than half the chicks sported full bushes between their legs and you can't help but love the wacky dialogue in some of the movies. This was also a time, when porn movies actually had decent music soundtracks.
In their tribute to the seventies, peepshows and stag films are the nostalgic properties of this time. Color is more of a novelty, so for those of you with monochromatic monitors, finally, you'll be at par with everyone else again. And when they hit the sixties, the hippy chicks are all shown in black and white. You may want to step back from your monitor as their bushes (and afros) are almost three dimensional!
You may be surprised to discover how much naughtiness was captured on film before the fifties and some of it is very explicit. If you think hardcore is a product of the seventies and eighties, you will be surprised. Part of the vintage erotica collection includes snaps of postcards and other such dirty photos from around the world including turn of the century Paris.
There is LOTS of content, both in picture and movie format, but you may find the navigation somewhat counterintuitive. Some of the thumbnails lead to picture sets related to the thumbnails and others link to potpourris of mixed images - hunting and exploring will be part of your member experience. Videos are presented in Flash Player format or WMV.
This trip down memory lane will cost you $29.95 for 30 days. I have reviewed other sites with better overall content quality/volume, but as the nature of collecting old time porn is akin to visiting as many garage sales as you can if you're looking for antiques, Good Old XXX may have some dishes you may not find anywhere else!
