I had very high hopes for this site. It makes so many promises, beginning with the domain name Pornstar.com. After years of surfing and signing up to porn sites, wouldn’t it be great to finally get to know the shining stars of adult entertainment?
I am happy to report that Pornstar.com lives up to its name. But before you dump any of your existing memberships to other paysites, some clarification is in order. Pornstar.com, for all intents and purposes, is a portal for pornstars. It doesn't just feature the huge stars likeJenna Jameson and Tera Patrick, but all the hot and ubiquitous babes that grace the hottest porn videos in your local video stores and all the hottest reality sites on the Web. There are hundreds of them here, with every letter of the alphabet represented.
There are three indexing method used by Pornstars.com to group their contents: by category, through alphabetical listing, and by studio. Grouping the video and pic content by category is impractical because there is not enough video content to begin with, just one or two scenes for every star (that’s why I warned you not to discontinue your other memberships). Navigating content through studio listings is better and actually adds some thrill to your search, but the most practical of the three navigationg methods by far is the alphabetical. For category searching, you can sift through the galleries by hardcore, solo, and girl on girl. There is a lot of picture content to speak of but again, not many videos at all.
The best way to enjoy Pornstar.com is through the members home page and the link to Pornstars. At the Pornstar page, the alphabetical listing is used along with thumbnail photos. It’s simply overwhelming. Clicking on a pornstar’s thumbnail will send you to her bio page and more thumbnail links to her gallery. As I said, you will get at least one movie scene from each star, but not many more.
The movies download or stream in Windows Media Player. Streaming the video will give you two options: 300 kbps and 300 kbps safe mode. If you want to view the Interview section you get the added viewing options of 56 kbps and 56 kbps safe mode. You get even more streaming options in the Behind the Scenes section. Downloading the entire scene, you will have to tackle 350 MB of video, and that amounts to at least 2 hours downloading.
Pornstars.com is a great way to get to know your favorite stars and new ones, too. Don’t expect the hardcore videos themselves to take center stage. The actors themselves are the main attraction... which reminds me: Pornstars.com hasn’t forgotten about the male stars, either.
